Description

This Sticky Honey Garlic Steak & Rotini is a mouthwatering dish packed with tender steak bites coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, served over perfectly cooked rotini pasta. A quick and satisfying meal for weeknights!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 oz rotini pasta
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (grated or powdered)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for extra richness)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Season the steak bites with salt and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak bites for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  • Add soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, and ginger. Stir well.
  • Mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry, then add it to the sauce. Stir and let simmer until thickened.
  • Return the steak to the pan and coat with the sauce. Add butter for extra richness.
  • Toss in the cooked rotini pasta and mix well.
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Swap rotini for any pasta like penne or fettuccine.
  • Add steamed broccoli or bell peppers for extra veggies.
  • For a spicier kick, increase red pepper flakes or add sriracha.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
