Ingredients
1 cup (200g) long-grain white rice (uncooked)
1 can (10.5 oz or 300g) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 can (10.5 oz or 300g) condensed cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 cups (360ml) chicken broth
1 stick (1/2 cup or 115g) unsalted butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Combine Ingredients:
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish, combine the uncooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth. Stir well to mix.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the Butter:
- Slice the stick of butter into 8-10 pieces and distribute them evenly over the top of the rice mixture.
- Bake:
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the top is golden brown.
- Serve:
- Let the dish cool for 5 minutes before serving. Stir to combine the melted butter into the rice. Enjoy!
Notes
For a lighter version, you can use low-sodium soups and reduce the amount of butter.
Add cooked vegetables, shredded chicken, or herbs like parsley or thyme for extra flavor.
