This Spicy Garlic Beef Stir-Fry is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender beef, crisp green beans, and a savory garlic sauce with a spicy kick. Served over fluffy rice, it makes for a satisfying meal that comes together in just 30 minutes—perfect for busy weeknights!

Ingredients

**For the Stir-Fry:**

– 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced

– 2 tablespoons soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon cornstarch

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

– 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 teaspoon ginger, grated

– 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

– 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

– 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

– 1 teaspoon rice vinegar

– 1 teaspoon sesame oil

– 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar

– 1/4 cup water

– 1 teaspoon cornstarch (mixed with 1 tablespoon water)

– 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

– 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

**For Serving:**

– 2 cups cooked jasmine or basmati rice

Instructions

1. In a bowl, toss the sliced beef with 2 tablespoons soy sauce and 1 tablespoon cornstarch. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.

2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

3. Add the green beans and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside.

4. Add another tablespoon of oil to the pan. Add the beef in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.

5. In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

6. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, and water.

7. Add the cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens.

8. Return the beef and green beans to the pan, tossing to coat evenly in the sauce.

9. Cook for another 2 minutes until heated through.

10. Serve hot over cooked rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

– For extra heat, add a teaspoon of Sriracha or more red pepper flakes.

– Swap green beans for broccoli, bell peppers, or snap peas for variety.

– Use a high-heat oil like peanut or avocado oil for better stir-frying.

– Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in a skillet or microwave.
