Description

A classic Southern sandwich made with creamy pimento cheese spread, perfect for a snack or lunch. This savory sandwich is packed with flavor, featuring sharp cheddar, pimentos, and a touch of spice, all served between slices of soft bread.

 


Ingredients

– 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated

– 1/2 cup mayonnaise

– 1/4 cup diced pimentos, drained

– 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 4 slices white bread (or your choice of bread)

– Butter for grilling


Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, diced pimentos, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

2. Mix until well combined, creating a creamy pimento cheese spread.

3. Spread a generous amount of the pimento cheese mixture onto two slices of bread.

4. Place the remaining slices of bread on top to form the sandwich.

5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and butter both sides of the sandwich.

6. Grill the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

7. Slice the sandwich in half and serve warm.
