Description

Sweet and chewy homemade gummies shaped like shamrocks! These fun, festive treats are perfect for Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations. Made with real fruit juice and gelatin, they’re a healthy alternative to store-bought gummies.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup fresh or bottled fruit juice (green juice like lime, apple, or kiwi works great)
  • 3 tbsp unflavored gelatin
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (for sweetness)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional, for a tangy flavor)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Green food coloring (optional, for a vibrant green color)

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, heat the fruit juice over medium heat until warm (not boiling).
  • Sprinkle the gelatin over the warm juice and stir until the gelatin dissolves completely, about 2 minutes.
  • Add the honey, lemon juice, and vanilla extract, stirring until fully combined.
  • If you want a brighter green color, add a few drops of green food coloring.
  • Pour the mixture into a shamrock-shaped silicone mold or any mold of your choice.
  • Refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until the gummies are firm and set.
  • Once set, remove the gummies from the mold and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • These gummies can be made with any fruit juice you prefer; however, using green-colored juice keeps them festive for Saint Patrick’s Day.
  • For a firmer texture, add an extra tablespoon of gelatin.
  • You can also make a layered effect by pouring different colored juices and letting each layer set before adding the next.
