Description

This refreshing smoothie combines the tropical flavors of papaya and pineapple with the creaminess of coconut milk and the sweetness of banana. It’s a perfect beverage to kickstart your day or enjoy as a midday treat.

 


Ingredients

– 1 papaya, peeled and deseeded

– 1 cup pineapple chunks (frozen for a thicker texture)

– 1 large banana (frozen recommended)

– 1 cup coconut milk

– 1 tablespoon chia seeds

– 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed

– 1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger, grated

– Ice cubes (optional, for a colder smoothie)


Instructions

1. Add the papaya, pineapple, banana, coconut milk, chia seeds, ground flaxseed, and grated ginger to a blender.

2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a bit more coconut milk or water to reach your desired consistency.

3. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary; you can add a touch of honey or maple syrup if desired.

4. Pour into glasses and serve immediately. Garnish with additional chia seeds or a sprinkle of ground flaxseed if desired.

 


Notes

For a vegan version, ensure the coconut milk is unsweetened. You can also substitute the coconut milk with almond milk or any plant-based milk of your choice. Adding a handful of spinach can boost the nutritional value without altering the taste significantly.
