Description

Enjoy a bite-sized twist on a classic favorite with these Meatball Sliders. Tender, seasoned meatballs smothered in marinara sauce and melted mozzarella are served on soft slider buns—perfect as an appetizer for parties or a fun main dish for a casual meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork for extra flavor)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 12 slider buns
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional: thinly sliced red onions or fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  • Form the meat mixture into small meatballs (approximately 1-inch in diameter).
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and sear the meatballs until browned on all sides (they do not need to be fully cooked at this stage).
  • Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs, cover, and let simmer on low heat for 10–15 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through.
  • Slice the slider buns in half and place a few meatballs on each bun, spoon over extra marinara sauce, and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Arrange the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
  • Garnish with red onions or basil if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, try substituting turkey for the meat.
  • Adjust seasonings to suit your taste; consider adding a pinch of crushed red pepper for extra heat.
  • These sliders make a great party appetizer or a fun main dish for casual gatherings.
