Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork for extra flavor)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 12 slider buns
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Optional: thinly sliced red onions or fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the meat mixture into small meatballs (approximately 1-inch in diameter).
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and sear the meatballs until browned on all sides (they do not need to be fully cooked at this stage).
- Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs, cover, and let simmer on low heat for 10–15 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Slice the slider buns in half and place a few meatballs on each bun, spoon over extra marinara sauce, and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Arrange the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
- Garnish with red onions or basil if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
- For a healthier option, try substituting turkey for the meat.
- Adjust seasonings to suit your taste; consider adding a pinch of crushed red pepper for extra heat.
- These sliders make a great party appetizer or a fun main dish for casual gatherings.
