Description

Indulge in this rich and fudgy hot chocolate slice, perfect for satisfying your chocolate cravings. This comforting dessert features a dense, moist texture with a deep cocoa flavor that makes every bite irresistible.

Ingredients

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter

– 200g dark chocolate, chopped

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 3 large eggs

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 1/2 cup cocoa powder

– 1/2 cup milk

– 1 tsp vanilla extract

– 1/2 tsp salt

– Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.

2. In a heatproof bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together over a pot of simmering water until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.

4. Slowly mix the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.

5. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then gently fold until just incorporated.

6. Stir in the milk until the batter is smooth and uniform.

7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.

8. Allow the slice to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.

9. If desired, dust the top with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

– Serve at room temperature or slightly warmed for extra indulgence.

– Pair with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce for added delight.

– Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator; let come to room temperature before serving.
