Description

Grilled Cheese Skewers are a delightful and easy-to-make appetizer that brings a fun twist to traditional grilled cheese. Using firm grilling cheeses like Queso Fresco or Halloumi, these skewers are grilled to perfection, offering a crispy exterior and a warm, gooey interior. Perfect for parties or as a unique snack, they are sure to impress your guests.

 


Ingredients

– 20 ounces Queso Fresco (or any other grilling cheese)

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– Salt and pepper, to taste

– 10 metal or bamboo skewers


Instructions

1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 10 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.

2. Preheat the grill to medium heat.

3. Cut the cheese into 1-inch wide strips suitable for skewering.

4. Thread the cheese strips onto the skewers.

5. Brush the cheese skewers with olive oil and season with salt and pepper, if desired.

6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2 minutes per side, or until grill marks appear and the cheese is golden brown.

7. Remove from the grill and serve immediately.

 


Notes

– For added flavor, serve with a side of chimichurri sauce or a drizzle of honey.

– Ensure the cheese used is suitable for grilling to prevent melting through the grates.
