Ingredients

Units Scale

For the steak:

  • 2 ribeye steaks (or your preferred cut)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the garlic butter sauce:

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme (optional)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)

For the noodles:

  • 8 oz egg noodles (or your preferred noodles)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for noodles)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and toss with olive oil, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set them aside to rest.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the fresh parsley, thyme, soy sauce, and lemon juice, cooking for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. Slice the steak thinly against the grain.
  7. Toss the cooked noodles in the garlic butter sauce, ensuring they are coated evenly.
  8. Serve the noodles with sliced steak on top, garnished with extra parsley and a drizzle of sauce.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter sauce.
  • This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or a fresh salad on the side.
  • You can use other cuts of steak, such as sirloin or flank steak, for this recipe.
  • If you don’t have egg noodles, spaghetti or any other noodle works well too.
