Description

Delicious Fresh Peach Fritters are golden, crispy treats filled with juicy peach chunks and flavored with a hint of cinnamon and vanilla. These fritters are perfect for breakfast or as a dessert, offering a sweet and satisfying bite with every piece. Best enjoyed warm, they’re perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

– 2 medium peaches, peeled, pitted, and diced

– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

– 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

– 1 tablespoon baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1 large egg

– 1/2 cup milk

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted

– Vegetable oil, for frying

– Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

2. In another bowl, beat the egg and then add the milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Stir to combine.

3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter will be thick.

4. Gently fold in the diced peaches, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium heat. The oil should be about 2 inches deep.

6. Once the oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry the fritters for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.

7. Remove the fritters from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain any excess oil.

8. Dust with powdered sugar (optional) before serving.

9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

– For a different flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg or lemon zest to the batter.

– If you prefer a less sweet fritter, skip the powdered sugar dusting.

– These fritters are best served immediately but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
