Description

These deep-fried marshmallows are a fun and indulgent treat! Crispy on the outside with a gooey marshmallow center, they make for the perfect sweet snack or party dessert


Ingredients

  • 10 large marshmallows
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or crushed graham crackers
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  • Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients, and whisk until smooth.
  • Place the marshmallows in the batter, coating them evenly.
  • Roll the batter-covered marshmallows in the breadcrumbs or crushed graham crackers for an extra crispy crust.
  • Carefully lower the marshmallows into the hot oil, frying a few at a time to avoid overcrowding.
  • Fry for about 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  • Remove the marshmallows with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Be careful when handling hot oil to avoid burns.
  • You can experiment by adding a drizzle of chocolate sauce or sprinkles on top for extra sweetness.
