Scale
- 2 large peaches, peeled, pitted, and cut into 8 slices (or 1 can of peach halves, drained)
- 1 (8-count) can crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7UP)
Instructions
-
Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
-
Wrap the Peaches:
- Roll each peach slice in a crescent roll, starting at the wide end. Place the wrapped peaches seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
-
Prepare the Sauce:
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
-
Assemble and Bake:
- Pour the butter mixture evenly over the dumplings.
- Slowly pour the lemon-lime soda around (not on top of) the dumplings.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
-
Serve Warm:
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!
Notes
- Fresh peaches give the best flavor, but canned peaches work well too.
- For a richer taste, substitute half the soda with heavy cream.
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts for extra crunch.
