Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Base:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

For the Peanut Butter Layer:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

For the Chocolate Topping:

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare Base:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • In a bowl, mix the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, and granulated sugar until well combined.
    • Press the mixture evenly into a 9×13-inch baking pan.
    • Bake the base for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  • Make the Peanut Butter Layer:

    • In a separate bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and softened butter.
    • Mix until smooth and spread evenly over the warm base.
  • Prepare the Chocolate Topping:

    • In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt the semisweet chocolate chips with the heavy cream and 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
    • Pour or drizzle the chocolate topping evenly over the peanut butter layer.

  • Chill & Serve:

    • Refrigerate the assembled bars for at least 2 hours to allow the layers to set.
    • Once firm, cut into 24 bars and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a little extra crunch, consider sprinkling chopped peanuts on top of the chocolate before chilling.
  • If you prefer a firmer chocolate layer, allow the bars to chill for an additional 30 minutes.
  • These bars can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week and also freeze well for longer storage.
