Ingredients
**For the Chicken Patties:**
– 1 lb ground chicken
– 1/2 cup cabbage, finely shredded
– 2 green onions, finely chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tsp ginger, grated
– 1 tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tsp sesame oil
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
– 1/4 tsp chili flakes (optional)
– 1 tbsp cornstarch
**For Assembly:**
– 4 burger buns
– 1/4 cup mayonnaise
– 1 tbsp sriracha (optional)
– 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
– 1/4 cup pickled cucumbers or radishes
– 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, pepper, chili flakes (if using), and cornstarch. Mix well.
2. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
3. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little oil. Cook each patty for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
4. Lightly toast the burger buns in the same pan.
5. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise with sriracha (if using) to create a spicy mayo spread.
6. Spread the spicy mayo on the bottom half of each bun.
7. Place a lettuce leaf on the bun, followed by a chicken patty, pickled cucumbers or radishes, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
8. Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
Notes
– You can swap ground chicken for ground turkey or pork.
– Adjust the spice level by adding or omitting chili flakes and sriracha.
– Serve with a side of crispy fries or a light salad.
– Make mini versions for sliders!
