Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, combine the eggs, milk, and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Gently fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, leeks, garlic, and optional herbs.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
