Description

These Asian Ground Beef Lettuce Wraps are a quick, flavorful, and healthy meal made with seasoned ground beef, crisp lettuce leaves, and a savory sauce. Perfect for a light lunch or dinner, they bring a delicious combination of textures and flavors to the table.

Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef

– 1 tbsp vegetable oil

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tsp ginger, grated

– 1/4 cup soy sauce

– 1 tbsp hoisin sauce

– 1 tbsp rice vinegar

– 1 tbsp honey

– 1 tsp sesame oil

– 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

– 1/4 cup green onions, chopped

– 1/4 cup shredded carrots

– 1/4 cup water chestnuts, diced

– Butter lettuce leaves or iceberg lettuce for serving

– Sesame seeds and extra green onions for garnish

Instructions

1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.

2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if needed.

3. Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.

4. Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

5. Mix in green onions, shredded carrots, and diced water chestnuts. Cook for another minute, then remove from heat.

6. Spoon the beef mixture into lettuce leaves and garnish with sesame seeds and extra green onions.

7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

– For a low-carb option, use tamari or coconut aminos instead of soy sauce.

– You can swap ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.

– Serve with a side of steamed rice or noodles for a more filling meal.
