Description

Apple Pie Pull-Apart Bread is a delightful fusion of classic apple pie flavors and soft, buttery bread. This shareable treat features layers of dough filled with spiced apple slices, brown sugar, and cinnamon, all baked to golden perfection and drizzled with a sweet glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

– 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Flaky Layers Original Biscuits (8 count)

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

– 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

– Juice of 1 large orange

– 1 large green apple, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place oven rack in the center position. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with a small amount of the melted butter.

2. In a large bowl, combine the remaining melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and orange juice. Stir until well mixed. Add the apple slices and toss to coat evenly.

3. Separate the biscuit dough into individual biscuits and then split each biscuit in half horizontally, creating 16 thin rounds.

4. Arrange the biscuit halves and apple slices alternately in the prepared loaf pan, standing them on their edges to create layers.

5. Pour any remaining apple mixture over the top of the layered biscuits and apples.

6. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is cooked through. If the top browns too quickly, cover loosely with foil during the last 10 minutes of baking.

7. Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, carefully remove the bread from the pan and place it on a serving platter.

8. Drizzle with your favorite glaze or icing before serving, if desired.

Notes

– For added flavor, sprinkle chopped nuts such as pecans or walnuts between the layers.

– Serve warm for the best taste and texture.

– Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to 5 days. Reheat before serving.
